Abdullah ile Çolak Ziya, Konya’nın Bozkır ilçesinde yaşayan iki arkadaştır. Geçimlerini silah satarak kazanan Abdullah ve Çolak Ziya, her ne kadar birbirlerinden farklı karakterlere sahip olsalar da, yıllardır birlikte hayat mücadelesi vermişlerdir. Abdullah, sözlüsü Emine ile evlenmek için çabalarken, Çolak Ziya ise günü kurtarmaya çalışarak yaşar. Hayatta her şeyden önce mertlik, namus ve şerefe önem veren Abdullah ve Çolak Ziya, bir gün asker arkadaşları Testici Bekir’in evine ziyarete gittiklerinde, kendilerini tahmin edemeyecekleri bir durumun içerisinde bulurlar. Testici Bekir evde yoktur ve onlarla arkadaşlarının eşi Süheyla ilgilenmektedir. Bu durumu fırsat bilen Çolak Ziya, genç kadını yalnız bulduğu bir esnada, ona tacizde bulunur. Abdullah’ın gelmesi ile kaçmaya başlayan Çolak Ziya, Bozkır’ın ıssız tepesine geldiğinde, Abdullah’ın tek kurşunu ile ölür. Büyük bir pişmanlık ve öfke içerisinde olan Abdullah, adalete teslim olmaya karar verir.
