Tsatsiki längtar till sommarlovet då han ska åka till Grekland för att bo hos sin pappa Yanis. När Tsatsiki anländer till byn är det dock inte riktigt som han mindes det. Pensionat och krogar är öde, det är kris i Grekland och i hans älskade by. När pappa berättar de dåliga nyheterna, att han kanske måste sälja både hotellet och olivlunden, så blir Tsatsiki upprörd. Men Tsatsikis mamma har lärt honom att aldrig ge upp. Han inser att det är upp till honom att rädda hotellet, annars kommer hans älskade plats i Grekland att gå förlorad. Tillsammans med den vilda äventyrerskan Alva, en orädd tolvårig flicka full av skratt och upptäckarglädje, startar Tsatsiki ett räddningsuppdrag som förvandlar Tsatsikis sommarlov till en resa fylld av äventyr, vänskap och kärlek.
