Um die friedliche Verbindung von fünf Kampfschulen zu garantieren, treffen sich alle zwei Jahre ihre Anhänger, zur gemeinsamen Wahl eines neues Oberhaupts. Hu, ein treuer und aufrichtiger Schüler der 5 Schulen wird in einem Kampf um das Leben einer Nonne von dem berüchtigten Tien schwer verwundet, und da die Nonne seine Wunden pflegte, bricht so ein Gesetz ihrer Schule. Hu kommt in den Ruf, diese Nonne verführt zu haben und wird zur Strafe von seinem Vater Yao, für ein Jahr in die „Todeskammer der Shaolin“ verbannt, um dort vor der „Schweigenden Wand“ seine Kampftechniken zu verbessern. Nach einem Jahr unerbittlichsten Trainings, beherrscht Hu die unschlagbare Kampftechnik der Yang-Weisen und kehrt zu seinem Meister Pu zurück. Doch Hu hatte etwas in den Todeskammern herausgefunden, und muss nun schwer abwägen, wer Freund und wer Feind ist...
